COVID-19 EXTRA MEASURES DOCUMENT
Non funded hours
Our hourly rate is £6.00 for non funded hours.
Illness
Parents are asked not to bring into Pre-School any child who has been vomiting, or has had diarrhoea,
until at least 48 hours has elapsed since the last attack.
This is to prevent the illness spreading to other children.
Please inform staff of any injuries that may have occurred in the previous 24hrs.
Named Items
All items brought into pre-school (including clothing, hats, lunch boxes and show and share items) should be clearly marked with your child’s name.
Childs Basket
Our child's basket contains everything that your child has lovingly done for you that day. Each child has their very own basket with their name and pre-school picture attached, the same picture that will be on their coat peg label as they arrive. If nothing is in the basket, just remember that what goes home in their heads is just as important.
Nappies
If your child is still in nappies please remember to put some spare ones into your child's bag along with wipes and nappy sacks.
Outdoor Play
We will try to play outside as and when the weather permits, so can you please ensure that your child has appropriate outdoor clothing when they attend pre-school and spare clothes in their bag. It is also a good idea to only send your child in clothing that you do not mind getting glue, water, mud and paint upon as we value the freedom and learning opportunities this creates while they are at pre-school.
Break time
Each day we provide a selection of fruit and vegetables plus a bread choice. For example: a piece of toast, bagel, bread stick, crumpet, pitta bread. We also serve cheese each break time and the children are given the choice of either water or milk to drink.
Lunch club
Lunch club is not compulsory but offers a great opportunity for your child to learn to manage using a lunch box in preparation for school. It runs each day from 12 noon until 1pm and costs £6.00.
Please make sure your child’s lunch box is named.
Important Notice
Please be aware that we have children with nut allergies that have joined us this term. Lunch boxes must not contain any form of nuts and this includes peanut butter spread. Please notify us of any allergies if you have not done so already.
